Designing the Future Through

Innovation, Performance and Purpose

Founded in 1972, Morphosis is an interdisciplinary architecture practice driven by rigorous design and research, creating innovative, iconic buildings and transformative urban environments.

Guided by a collaborative ethos, Partners Arne Emerson, Ung-Joo Scott Lee, Brandon Welling, and Eui-Sung Yi lead a global team across offices in Los Angeles, New York, Dubai, Seoul, and Shanghai. Alongside founder and Pritzker Prize winner Thom Mayne, Morphosis continues to advance a vision of bold, research-driven architecture. Each project engages context, performance, and public life, integrating environmental responsibility, technical precision, and long-term relevance. Through its research arm, The Now Institute, the studio advances work in mobility, urban development, resilience, and public policy.

Derived from the Greek term for “to form or be in formation,” Morphosis embraces a dynamic, evolving approach that responds to shifting social, cultural, political, and technological conditions while creating architecture that is deeply engaged with the communities it serves.
